# SAIF.Business.Claim overview

`SAIF.Business.Claim` is a component-tier business/domain class library built on the SAIF Business Object Framework (BOF)*. It supplies claim-domain business objects and Oracle data access for benefit schedules and payments, awards, claim work status, employee work addresses, injured body parts, DCBS 1502 transfers, PPD degree-award calculations, and reserve-service code tables.

## Purpose
- Provides persistent BOF business objects (and their nested `Criteria` classes) that read from and write to Oracle claim tables such as `CL_BENEFIT_SCHEDULE`, `CL_BENEFIT_PAYMENT`, `CL_AWARD`, `CL_CLAIM_WORK_STATUS`, `CL_CLAIM_WORK_RELEASE_STATUS`, `CL_WORKER_INJURED_BODY_PART`, and `CL_1502_DCBS_TRANSFER`.
- Supplies read-only, stored-procedure-backed calculations (aggravation-rights dates, timeliness of first payment, medically-stationary date, statutory weekly wage) and PPD degree-award amount calculations with an auditable calculation trail.
- Consumed by `SAIF.Business.Claim.Legal`, `SAIF.Application.Claim.Legal`, and `LegalMaintenance` via project reference, though a repository-wide search found no direct usage of its public types in this solution*.
